Second Number

1. INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy explains how Second Number (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Second Number mobile application (the “App”). The App provides virtual phone numbers, WiFi/voice calling, SMS messaging, subscriptions, and token-based usage. Please review this Policy periodically; we may update it from time to time.

2. GENERAL PROVISIONS

We respect your privacy and do not sell your personal information to third parties. Information is used to provide, maintain, improve, and secure our services.

We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or government request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, user safety, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.

Information we process may include:

  • Identifiable Information (Personal Data)
  • Non-Identifiable Information (usage and device data)

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the App, whether or not you create an account.

3. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. The current version is available in the App. If material changes are made, we will notify you through the App or by email where available. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.

4. CONSENT & AGE

By downloading, installing, registering, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions.

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children. If we learn that such data was collected, we will delete it promptly unless retention is required by law.

5. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect Personal Data when you:

  • Create an account or sign in (Apple, Google, Facebook, or email)
  • Purchase a subscription or token pack
  • Buy or use a virtual phone number
  • Make or receive calls or SMS through the App
  • Contact customer support
  • Use in-app features such as contacts, blocking, or call/message history

Personal Data may include:

  • Name and email address (including from Apple/Google sign-in)
  • Account identifier (e.g. Firebase user ID)
  • Virtual phone number(s) assigned to your account
  • Call and message metadata (timestamps, duration, numbers involved—not call audio)
  • Token balance and transaction history
  • Subscription and purchase status
  • Device information, app version, and IP address
  • Push notification tokens (FCM / VoIP) for incoming calls and messages
  • Country or pricing preferences selected in the App

We collect only what is reasonably necessary to operate the service.

6. CALL, SMS & COMMUNICATION DATA

  • We do not record, listen to, or store the audio content of your calls.
  • SMS message content may be processed in transit to deliver messaging features and may be stored as needed to provide message history within the App.
  • Call logs, message logs, blocked numbers, and related metadata are stored to provide history, billing (token usage), and service functionality.
  • Voice and SMS services are provided through third-party telecommunications partners (such as Twilio). Their processing is subject to their policies as well as ours.

7. SUBSCRIPTIONS, PAYMENTS & TOKENS

  • Subscriptions and in-app purchases (including token packs) are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive purchase and subscription status from these platforms and from our subscription management partner (RevenueCat) to activate your plan and credit tokens.
  • We do not store your full payment card details; payment information is handled by Apple or Google.
  • Token usage, balances, and related transactions may be stored in our systems to provide the service and support your account.

8. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to:

  • Provide virtual numbers, calling, SMS, and related features
  • Manage your account, subscription, and token balance
  • Send service-related notifications (e.g. incoming calls or messages)
  • Improve app performance, security, and user experience
  • Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms
  • Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse

9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

We use trusted third parties to operate the App, including:

  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, and push messaging
  • Twilio — voice, SMS, and virtual phone numbers
  • RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
  • Apple / Google — sign-in and in-app payments

These providers process data on our behalf according to their own privacy policies and our agreements with them. We may also share information when required by law.

10. DATA SECURITY & RETENTION

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

We retain Personal Data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your data as described below, subject to lawful retention requirements.

11. ACCOUNT DELETION & YOUR RIGHTS

  • You may delete your account from the Profile section of the App. Deletion removes your user profile and associated data from our systems and releases virtual phone numbers, subject to legal or operational retention requirements.
  • Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription—you must cancel separately in your store settings.
  • Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your Personal Data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

12. MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

We may send service-related messages about your account, subscription, or security. Promotional messages, if any, can be opted out using the instructions in those messages.

13. NON-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

We may collect aggregated or non-identifiable data such as device type, app usage patterns, and performance metrics to improve the App.

The App or our partners may use similar technologies (e.g. analytics or device identifiers) as permitted by your device settings and applicable law.
